Walking in Sunshine

That's what I have been doing these last days is allot of walking. I hope to soon walk without a cane. I still cruise with my walker but soon (tomorrow) the cane. I am gonna Kick this disease. The sunshine has been wonderful and I was asked if I was in training for a marathon lol!
Today my x-dil and granddaughter came to visit and brought lunch!! My granddaughter and I played three games of Wii bowling of course lol! When her mom opened the car door and Mira saw me she yelled 'grandma' a few times and came running with arms open to hug me. This is implanted in my brain now for future reference of being loved. It was a wonderful day. On my walks today I thought of my blogging friend Beth who is loosing her battle with cancer. I just can't deal with that right now. I know life goes on but my mind just cannot cope with another hurt.
This apt is temporary. It's a secure place to heal. When my mobilhome is sold I will then see how things are. The residents here are very friendly and they all remember my name! I won at trivia Tuesday and tonight sat and did my word search and listened to the gals schnutter and play cards in the great room. They made me laugh out loud a number of times. Their humor is right up my alley. Of course we all were born and raised within a 50 mile radius to German parents. It was like listening to family bantering and playing cards giving each other heck and teasing. Love it.
I am buying a bicycle. I am told to get a trike so not to worry about balance. I guess so. It will take up some room though in my apt as that's where I'd have to keep it. I must keep my legs active. The pain is less by the way. I got a bad craving last night for a smoke. Yep got my shoes on and went for a walk in the building. I walked with a resident who could not sleep so we walked and laughed when we took elevator to change things up lol! I got to bed about 3am.
Tomorrow I may take camera along on my walks. have a good night and please say a prayer for my friend Beth. Thankyou.
